In this article the Raleigh Weekly Standard, a Unionist Newspaper reports on the bombardment of Fort Sumter, S.C. and Lincoln's call for troops.  The paper states its opinion that it fears that Civil War is on the horizon and reiterates its earlier argument that the Union cannot be maintained by force and will fall apart at the first attept of aggressive power.  This piece is reported initially as a rumor, but is followed up by the paper stating that it received confirmation and the early reporting was accurate.
