The Capture, the Prison Pen, and the Escape
Title
The Capture, the Prison Pen, and the Escape
Description
This book is a compilation of accounts of the atrocities of Confederate Prisons. it gives a completely different view and presents extreme hostility towards the former Confederates. The language in this book is pretty graphic at times and seems to be a smear campaign of Confederate prisons rather than an analytic study of how the conditions were during the last few months and years of the war. It is compiled by a former Union officer so there is probably still some hatred that runs in his veins, so you cannot really blame him for his callous words towards the Confederates.
