The Impeachment Trial of Governor Holden is a three-volume work that contains the minutes of Governor Holden’s impeachment trial.  The sources derived from this are testimony of various witnesses called upon both the Board of Managers for the House of Representatives and the Respondent’s defense team.  The secondary sources shed light onto the surrounding political issues, such as the Kirk-Holden War, and the existence of the Ku Klux Klan in Alamance and Caswell Counties.
